Course Eligibility

Who Should Do PfMP®

The PfMP® certification is designed for senior professionals responsible for aligning portfolios with organizational strategy and maximizing business value. This program is best suited for:

  • Portfolio Managers overseeing multiple programs and projects to achieve strategic goals
  • Senior Program and Project Managers transitioning into portfolio-level leadership roles
  • Directors, PMO Leaders, and Executives accountable for governance, investment decisions, and resource prioritization
  • Business Strategists and Senior Leaders aiming to strengthen organizational performance through effective portfolio management

PfMP® Prerequisites

All experience must be within the past 15 years:

  • 96 months (8 years) of professional business experience, and

EITHER:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s, or global equivalent) + 84 months (7 years) of portfolio management experience
  • Four-year degree (bachelor’s or global equivalent) + 48 months (4 years) of portfolio management experience
